Board of Directors
From CFI
Based out of Ukiah, California, the Board of Directors (BOD) and advisors voluntarily devote their time towards developing the Cloud Forest Institute; the current members are listed below. The BOD is organized as determined by functioning bylaws originally approved by the Secretary of State of California in August 1996 when CFI received its determination as a non-profit public benefit corporation. The bylaws were most recently revised in January 2000, and adopted in April. CFI's determination as a 501 (c)(3) educational and scientific corporation was federally approved May 8th 2000. Copies of the organization's legal documents and financial records are available to the public upon request. The current BOD of Cloud Forest Institute was elected November 17, 2006. They took on their roles in succession of, and collaboration with, many innovative thinkers and doers. Co-founder Patrick Burnstad passed away in 2006.
