rEVOLUTIONary aMUSEment #5

Hello All, I am excited to receive two students this coming Thursday for the first portion of the 10th Anniversary Course. I will accompany this mother and daughter to the Amazanga Community near puyo to learn about the Shuar culture, their work to protect the Yushin forest and defend the Amazon from the Petroleum Companies. The students will also receive 20 hours of Spanish Language Instruction. We will give you another update before they leave. In other news the parcel of land near Intag turned out to not be "the one". It was too far and too steep and surrounded by deforestation. Essentially not the ideal location I was hoping for. So the search continues.

As you know CFI is still fundraising to purchase the last parcel of 800 acres to connect the Cambugan Wildlife Corridor. This will cost a total of $15,000 and requires at least $5,000 down to initiate a purchase contract that would allow a year to complete payment. Thus far this year we have raised $2,500. I hope that you will continue to support this effort by protecting honorary groves at $40 an acre so that we can secure this land before it is affected by logging.

Hasta el Proximo!
