The Field of Dreams is a grassroots community group dedicated to increasing regional seed sovereignty,  growing food for prepared food projects serving at-risk community groups, and developing seed-saving educational materials for seed libraries, schools and prisons. 

The Ukiah Bicycle Kitchen provides do-it-yourself bicycle maintenance and repair to the people of Ukiah by providing the necessary tools and education, so that everyone can ride a safe and comfortable bicycle! Since 2013. Find us at the Farmers Market.

The Anderson Valley Food Shed aims to increase their capacity to grow a diverse, year-round supply of food for all who live in the Anderson Valley bio-region of Mendocino County, CA, through education, community events, and the creation of new opportunities to grow, process, purchase and enjoy locally grown food.

GOLDEN ROCKS PERMACULTURE FARM

Our VISION: Creating a nurturing environment on a five acre demonstration farm and education center featuring hands-on curriculum based on Regenerative Agriculture, Natural Building, Herbal Medicines, and holistic healing modalities, and operating with low-intensity “footprint”, and highly functioning low-tech systems and infrastructure.

By encouraging deeper relations with Mother Earth, we foster Earth-care as a powerful component of Self-care.

SALEM International in Ecuador provides comprehensive support that combines emotional care, education and psychosocial support to strengthen their current well-being and their prospects for a more fulfilling future. CIFER helps promote environmental literacy among youth, women, and local communities in Nigeria through environmental awareness campaigns, school outreach programs and training activities to encourage responsible stewardship of forests and ecosystems.

Save the Paradise Foundation in Mompiche, Ecuador

Save the Paradise is dedicated to preventing deforestation of the Chocó rainforest. We achieve this by purchasing and legally designating forests as an ecological reserve in perpetuity. Additionally, we have established the CoNeMo network of landowners to create a wildlife corridor to connect larger areas. We also aim to reduce the need for locals to cut or sell their privately owned land through social and microeconomic projects.

For over 20 years, Cloud Forest Institute has proudly supported a wide range of grassroots initiatives—both locally and globally—that have made lasting contributions to their communities and ecosystems.

These projects have since moved on from our sponsorship—either because they completed their mission or transitioned to a more independent phase of development.

For many, fiscal sponsorship with CFI serves as a launchpad, offering essential infrastructure and support while they grow. In some cases, it’s a strategic bridge toward forming their own 501(c)(3) organization. We are honored to serve as an incubator for emerging efforts rooted in reciprocity, education, and ecological care.
